The first working meeting of the EU Information Centre team with think-tank organisations was held on Tuesday, 22 March at the Debate Room of Dom omladine. Working meeting
The team has been preparing for the formal opening of the EU Info Centre in Dom omladine, which is expected to take place in May, during the Europe Week. A major goal of the Centre will be to bring European institutions closer to Serbian citizens and to inform them better on the developments regarding the EU integration, including EU-funded projects in the region. A major preparation activity leading up to the formal opening of the EU Info Centre is developing partnerships with governmental organisations and NGOs active in the field of European integration. These partnerships will be initiated by several discussion forums and presentations.
The first in a row of such events, held today, gathered representatives of various organisations, including: League of Experts, Center for Euro-Atlantic Studies, Economics Institute, Belgrade Centre for Human Rights, ISAC, European Movement in Serbia, Transparency International Serbia, Civic Initiatives, Belgrade Open School, Centre for Peace and Democracy Development, Educational Forum, Institute of European Studies, New Policy Center, and others.
The meeting was interesting and there was a constructive discussion; the EU Info Centre remains open to suggestions from the organisations and institutions interested in actively participating in its work.
