Young volunteers return from Brussels
Young activists return from the award trip organised by the Delegation of the European Union and the Ministry of Youth and Sports
Ivana Kovačević, State Secretary at the Ministry of Youth and Sports and Luca Ester Kadar, Head of Information, Communication and Press at the EU Delegation to Serbia will meet with the 10 youth volunteer group representatives upon their return from Brussels on 31 May 2012, at 17.30 at Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport.
Ten young people had an opportunity to meet volunteers from other European countries and exchange their experiences during this trip. Besides spending time with their colleagues, the winners of youth volunteering activities in 2011 have visited the European Commission and the European Parliament and learned about the work of the EU institutions.
In the framework of the “YOUNG PEOPLE RULE!” ("MLADI SU ZAKON!") Programme of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and on the occasion of the International Volunteer Day and the European Year of Volunteering, the Ministry and the Delegation of the European Union to Serbia awarded in December 2011 the best youth volunteering actions conducted in 2011. On this occasion, the EU Delegation to the Republic of Serbia awarded a trip to Brussels to 10 representatives of the winning youth volunteering actions.
A Cocktail for the volunteers and the media will be served at 18:00 at the Large Hall of the Airport’s Belgrade Lounge.
