Serbia Innovation Project

The Innovation Fund will organize an event to announce the public call for Matching Grants Program within the Serbia Innovation Project, on Thursday March 29, 2012 at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Ceremonial Hall, (Bulevar Kralja Aleksandra 73), Belgrade, starting at 12pm.

Žarko Obradović, Minister of Education and Science, Vincent Deger, Head of the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Serbia, Loup Brefort, Country Manager of the World Bank Office in Serbia and Ljiljana Kundaković, Interim Managing Director of the Innovation Fund will address the attendees of the event.

Before the ceremony officials will make a statement in the office of Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, starting at 11.45am.In addition, Shuki Gleitman, Strategic Advisor of the Innovation Fund will discuss the objectives behind the Matching Grants Programs, drawing on international experiences.

Francis J. Skrobiszewski, Operations Advisor of the Innovation Fund will discuss the value of supporting early stage R&D through the Innovation Fund and Milena Kostadinović, Program Manager, will present the details of the Matching Grants Program. 

The Matching Grant Program is designed to help existing micro and small companies develop their R&D activities, establish collaborations with strategic private sector partners, attract investors and to bring their innovation to the market.

The Matching Grant Program will finance up to 70% of technology development and commercialization projects for the total amount of up to 300,000 euros. 

The Serbia Innovation Project is financed from the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA) of the European Union and implemented in cooperation with the World Bank.
