EU Heads of Mission meet Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dačić

Heads of Mission of the Member States of the European Union accredited to Serbia met today Prime Minister Ivica Dačić to discuss Serbia’s EU path and the challenges the government is facing in this respect.

The ambassadors stressed that the continuation of the dialogue with Priština is of utmost importance for Serbia's European integration, as well as the implementation of the agreements reached so far in this dialogue. Among the priorities of the European integration process, the ambassadors pointed out the issues of the rule of law and judicial independence, fight against organised crime and corruption, macro-economic and financial stability, the necessity to strengthen the independence of institutions and independent regulators in line with best European practices and standards.

The meeting is part of an established practice of EU Heads of Mission to meet regularly with Serbian leaders in order to exchange views and initiate cooperation on a number of issues.

Prime Minister Dačić came to the meeting following the joint invitation of the EU Ambassador, Head of EU Delegation, Vincent DEGERT and Nafsika KROUSTI, Ambassador of Cyprus.
