
Through Tempus and Erasmus Mundus programs Serbian students have the chance to complete their master studies in EU countries, or to do part of their undergraduate studies at a European university. The next chance to apply for Erasmus Mundus program is in autumn, and the expected budget for Serbia will be two million euros. The annual scholarship for Erasmus Mundus program is 21,000 euros per student.

On the 5th June 2008, at the Philological Faculty in Belgrade, the Head of Delegation of the European Commission to the Republic of Serbia, ambassador Josep M. Lloveras, professor Stefan Dukandjiev, international coordinator for Tempus programme and the Dean of the Philological Faculty, professor Slobodan Grubacic PhD in cooperation with the Student Parliament of Belgrade University will present EU programmes open to Serbian students. Tempusand Erasmus Mundusprogrammes will provide students with an opportunity to finish either their master studies in EU countries, or to do a part of their undergraduate studies, regardless of which year they are attending, at one of EU universities.

Performance of over 200 artists of Maribor National Theatre was jointly supported by Nova Kreditna banka from Maribor, Government of Slovenia, the Delegation of the European Commission and the Serbian Ministry of Culture. Tickets will be sold at the prices of 600, 800 and 1,000 dinars and will be available from Friday 30the May 2008 at Sava Center box-office.

In his address to the representatives Ambassador Lloveras highlighted that civil society organizations play an active and crucial role in EU integration process in Serbia. “The European Commission has been supporting civil society initiatives since 1994. With the continued support we are confirming our unwavering commitment to the enhancement of European values in Serbia as well as our readiness to provide assistance to Serbia in the preparation for its future in the European family.”
